Changing Workforce Culture - Applications of 'Statics' a branch of Mechanics!

 A lot has been talked about in the market about changing work place but culture is something; In today’s fast-moving generation, if change is inevitable than It’s a challenge to change innate culture of already existing organization because of its fundamental practices and then designing a framework of culture to bring in the fundamental practices in line with changing business needs or industry standards and potential employees expectations.

“If culture is an evolved human capacity in the form of experience to act imaginatively and creatively and connecting the human capacity that has distinct ways that the people living in different parts", then is HR focus is on addressing human capacity to the changing dynamics of business operations within the geographical boundaries.

Because Culture is dynamic and thus complex. Culture is fluid rather than static, which means that culture changes all the time, every day, in subtle and tangible ways and that it is hard to pinpoint exactly what cultural dynamics are at play and that’s where it becomes interesting to identifying the 'triggers' that impacts shift in culture changes.

Let us try to study those trigger by application of ‘Statics’ a branch of Mechanics that is concerned with the analysis of loads (Force AND Torque or Moment) acting on people and physical systems that may help to show some results on how and why cultural dynamics changes.

Assuming Culture in static equilibrium, the acceleration of the system is zero and the system is either at rest, or its center of mass moves at constant velocity.

The application of Newton's second law to a system gives:
F = m*a; where

‘F’ is the total of the forces those are External forces/ business demands/Society acting on the system,
‘m’ is the mass (human feelings, attitudes, traits) and
a’ is the acceleration [ Motives/Expectations].

The summation of forces will give the direction and the magnitude of the acceleration will be inversely proportional to the mass.
The assumption of static equilibrium of a = 0 leads to: F = 0

Some of the triggers about a person’s attitude or feelings where people pay attention are:

(a) the words, or what is being said;
(b) the tone, or how the words are said; and
(c) the visual behind the words, often called the body language.
(d) multiple layers of culture to the conversation—such as time, power and authority, emotion, age, gender, religion, nationality, and even previous intercultural interactions and communication at a cross-cultural level becomes complex and hard to manage

To have an organization with generic cultural practices may not work but rather there needs to be defined objectives that is agreed upon by the parties and one that connects us all throughout the journey of shared experience in employment of individuals.

Discussion is on Can application ‘Statics’ a branch of Mechanics helps study of ‘Culture’ give better results??
